Mr. Jack Jeffcoat, 72, of Ozark, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Friday, March 16, 2018, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Pastor Ed Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Cemetery in Troy, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday from 11:30 A.M. until service time.
Jack was born in Troy, Alabama April 1, 1945, to the late Asa Lambert “Junior” Jeffcoat and Elise “Jim” Bradley Jeffcoat. He moved to Ozark at an early age with his parents who owned Troy Laundry and Cleaners. He was graduated from Carroll High School class of 1963 and Troy University where he participated in Intermural Softball each season. He was the Assistant Superintendent of Education for Bullock County Schools then Headmaster of Bullock Memorial Academy in Union Springs, Alabama. Jack moved back to Ozark where he owned Circle Insurance Agency. Later he was an owner of Jeffcoat-Martin Insurance Agency then becoming the sole owner until his health forced him to close. Jack was involved in the local community and Carroll High School Football as the radio announcer for their games. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed all sports which he was well versed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Jeffcoat.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Williams Jeffcoat of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Michael Bledsoe of Madison, Alabama; four grandchildren, Mitch Bledsoe, Ragan Bledsoe, Korbyn Jeffcoat, and Lana Jeffcoat McCoy.
